Target: The student will understand relationships between material preparation, student focus and a successful rehearsal.
Perform new notes and rhythms on my instrument. Daily performance of new music, Essential Elements Book Pg. 25
Rehearse: Ode to Joy, Up on the Housetop, Jingle Bells, Impulse, Hiawatha 7th Period
Rehearse: Nutcracker, Storm the Gates, Final Countdown, American Fiddle Medley, Hunter's Moon 4th & 5th Period
Weekly Reminders:
12/2 After School Rehearsal with folding stands for winter concert and feeder school concerts
12/5 Field trip to ICE and Feeder School Concerts leave at 9a.m. arrive at LCMA bus loop at 5p.m. ( Pick UP at Bus loop) Students who didn't order a school lunch need to bring a lunch in a ziploc bag with your name on it.
12/4 Test on Storm the Gates 42-52; Test on Up on the Housetop Song 7th Period

Bell Work- Tune and Scale Review and begin Key Signature Chart

Weekly Reminders
  • Tuesday- First Responder's/ Veteran's Luncheon- 3rd Period Students: Instruments and tuning need to be ready by 11:00
  • Wednesday- Picture Retake Day and Club Picture Day( bring music shirt for photos that will take place in the am)
  • Thursday- Formal Music Picture Day students will need to bring their black formal concert attire for pictures during class.  Beginning orchestra please wear your blue LCMA polo with your uniform for the day and we will take pictures with your instrument.
  • Thursday- Portfolio Night: Students performing will need to report to the music building by 5:50p.m. so we can be ready to perform at 6:00p.m. We will perform on and off between 6-7p.m.
