Welcome back and Happy New Year! WE have many things happening over the next several weeks and there will need to be planning and practice happening for our success. Please make sure you have the following dates down for after school rehearsals and performances. These are required for the MPA competition and if you made all county orchestra.
All County Orchestra Rehearsal Dates
Tuesday, January 28, 2020 6pm-8pm at George Jenkins High School ( bring a stand, music and instrument)
Thursday, February 6, 2020 6pm-8pm Florida Southern College ( bring a stand, music and instrument) Friday, February 7, 2020 9am-4pm Florida Southern College All Day rehearsal ( wear orchestra shirt and jeans to all day rehearsal also bring music and instrument) Pick up at FSC by 4p.m. Concert is at 7pm that evening in your formal concert black attire. Call time is 6:15p.m. Transportation to rehearsals and concerts is the responsibility of the parent or guardian. Rehearsals begin at the time listed, so please arrive 10-20 minutes before to check in and be tuned. Orchestra MPA Rehearsals and Competition Dates 2020 At the beginning of the school year information regarding the competition was distributed. Please make sure that you have blocked these dates on your calendar and are at the event as everyone is important to the success of the orchestra. Competition is at Tenoroc High School on Friday, February 21, 2020 and Saturday, February 22, 2020. WE do not get to choose our competition date or time and we will know at the end of January when we are assigned to perform.
