Orchestra Supply List 2017-2018
Periods 3&8
All classes will need:
· Students will need their instruments the second day of school
· Instrument ID Tag- Include your name, phone number and class period
· Rosin
· Soft Cloth
· Violins/Violas Shoulder Rest for your instrument
· Cello/Bass Rock Stop
· Folder plastic page protectors & dividers (3 ring binders are easier but
not required)
· Pencil & Pencil holder in folder that you keep in your binder
· Personal tuner (Snark & Korg are good brands)
Book Purchase
· 8th Period: Essential Elements Book 2
· 3rd Period: Essential Elements Book 3 Each student needs to supply their own tuner
Formal Concert Attire (Purchased in early September)
Students will be measured in a couple of weeks for their tux or dress. If you want a consignment dress, then you need to check with the LCMA consignment shop. This attire is required for all competitions and performances.
Orchestra Spirit T-Shirt (purchased in class first week of school)
Order forms are going home the first day of school. These shirts can be worn on spirit day and on music field trips and are required. Parents are also welcome to purchase a shirt. T-shirt orders are due by August 15, 2017. Cost is $11.00.
Concert Dates are: December 12, 2017 and May 10, 2018 and are required performances

Welcome to Orchestra! We are excited that you have chosen to take this class. We will be doing instrument sizing the first 2 days of school. Students will be introduced to all instruments before they are assigned a specific instrument.
Please note: School rentals are only available for Viola, Cello and Bass. We have a limited supply and it is a first come first serve basis.
Students will need:

Concert Uniform Students wear long black pants and dark colored dress shoes for concerts. Students will also need to purchase a music spirit shirt to wear for the concerts. These can also be worn on Spirit Days at school. Parents are also welcome to purchase a shirt. T-shirt orders are due by August 15, 2017. The cost is $11.00. Cash is encouraged. Checks are made payable to LCMA Music.
