Weekly Reminders:
​ All Classes:
  • Arts in the Community Reflections are due by end of day on Monday, Oct 30th on LCMA music blogs
  • ​Practice Sheets are due by Wed., Nov 1st.
  • After School Practice on Monday, Oct 30th until 3:45p.m. for 3rd and 8th
​3rd & 8th Period Students going to musical on Thursday, Nov 2nd 
  • Report to Bus Loop at 9:15a.m.  
  • Leave all things in your locker
  • ​Will return between 12:15- 12:30p.m. and eat during 8th grade lunch

​10/25 Final Call for all permission slips to Harrison musical on 11/2  3rd & 8th period ( there is a limited number of students allowed so it's first come first serve.)
​10/26  Walk the Wire is TODAY! 
Those participating may wear their music shirt and jeans or uniform bottoms.  You will need to go to your locker BEFORE reporting to your group table in the Bistro.  The event is over at 5:00p.m. and cars will pick up in the car rider line.  You may bring $2.00 on the walk if you wish to purchase ice cream from the vendor on the walk.

  • Complete preparation for WTW by writing reflection of its importance and assigning groups for event.
  • Scale Study- 3&8 period work on F Scale, All County Music & Solo and Ensemble
    Black Diamond, Begin Holiday Music, 
    2nd Period
    Work on C Scale, G Scale and D Scale; Begin working on Hiawatha 22-38 and 2nd Half of Sourwood Mountain, Jazzy St. Nick, EEI pg. 17 and learning notes on E and C string








Weekly Reminders:
​Walk the Wire Sponsorships due by 10/19!  Can turn in Tues-Thurs. Group Sign Ups begin Friday at 7:20a.m.
​Hispanic Heritage Festival 10/19
​3rd period Students Performing in Festival wear your orchestra shirt and jeans- 8th graders will eat 7th grade lunch that day and report to Music Room at 12:45p.m. for 1:00 performance.
​After School Practices for 3rd & 8th Period Begin:

LEQ:  How do I not only produce and recognize a characteristic tone on my instrument, but identify and properly adjust discrepancies alone and with others?

Thursday- Walk the Wire Collection #1- Meet the goal by Thursday and receive the mystery prize and support music education by raising  money for the LCMA music department!  $30 min goal

After School Practices for 3rd and 8th Period
are on the following dates: 10/23,10/30, 11/6, 11/13, 12/4.  Rehearsals will begin at 2:55p.m. and are over at 3:45p.m.  You will need a ride No later than 4 p.m.  Final Rehearsal on 12/4 will last until 4p.m. to prepare for the Winter Concert.

Morning Rehearsal time is available to all students beginning at 7:10a.m. each morning.
