Welcome Back! We have lots of exciting events scheduled over the coming weeks for additional rehearsals and events that are coming up in January-February. Please go ahead and mark them on your calendar and plan ahead!
Orchestra Rehearsals & Events 2019
Welcome to the Spring Semester! I wanted to provide you with as many important dates as possible so that we are set up for success. We are currently preparing for music performance assessment and it is vital that all students attend additional rehearsals, so that we are prepared for the competition that takes place on February 22 & 23, 2019 at Tenoroc High School.
Currently, the following rehearsals are scheduled:
1/14 All County Orchestra Prep Session (only those who made all county need to attend) rehearsal ends at 3:30p.m.
1/28 MPA Combined Rehearsal Preparation required for all 3&8 period students until 3:45p.m.
1/29 All County Orchestra Rehearsal at George Jenkins HS (only those who made all county need to attend) Bring music, instrument, pencil and a folding stand. 5:45p.m. Check in rehearsal is from 6-8p.m.
2/4 MPA Combined Rehearsal Preparation required for all 3&8 period students until 3:45p.m.
2/4 All County Orchestra Rehearsal at FSC (only those who made all county need to attend) Bring music, instrument, pencil and a folding stand. 5:45p.m. Check in rehearsal is from 6-8p.m.
2/5 All County Orchestra All Day Rehearsal at FSC (only those who made all county need to attend) Bring music, instrument, pencil and a folding stand. 9am-4p.m. Concert is at 7:30p.m.
2/11 MPA Combined Rehearsal Preparation required for all 3&8 period students until 3:45p.m.
2/19 Extended MPA dress rehearsal (in concert attire) required for all 3&8 period students until 4:00 p.m.
2/22-23 Orchestra MPA at Tenoroc High School- Date and Time are assigned and will be given as soon as the schedule is provided. Please keep the weekend free as this event is a major event.
3/11 Electrify your Strings at FSC with Mark Wood. Concert is at 7:00p.m. and the workshop is from 5:00-6:30p.m. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online.
